Pantherettes Win Sandra Meadows Classic

The DHS Pantherettes won the Sandra Meadows Classic Tournament for the third consecutive year, and the 21st time in the tournament’s 63-year history. The Pantherettes beat out five teams to take the title.


Game one: Richardson 46, Duncanville 77
Game two: Frisco Liberty 45, Duncanville 55
Game three: Bishop Lynch 26, Duncanville 71
Game four: Plano West 36, Duncanville 83
Game five: Whitney Young 46, Duncanville 60

Three players were recognized for their performance during the tournament. Ariel Atkins was named tournament MVP and scored a total of 120 points during the five games. Outstanding Defensive Player was awarded to Tasia Foman, and Keyana Smith was named to the All-Tournament team. The Pantherettes clinched their 90th straight win on Friday, January 3 against Grand Prairie. Congratulations, Pantherettes!
