SkillsUSA State Competition Results

Earning top spots in regional competition, several Duncanville High School students advanced to State SkillsUSA. Those contests were held in March, and the results are below. First place winners will advance to Nationals in June.

Electronic/Engineering

  • Jonathon Hodge and Jasmine Martinez – First Place, Sustainability
  • Loretta Millirons – Second Place, Principles of Technology and Momentum
  • Klein Allen, D’Andre Burch, and Alexander Shaw – Second Place, Engineering Technology (Andrue Ferry Design Coach)
  • Da’Quavian Caldwell, Stephen Cornell, Adrian Guzman, and Kylan Romas – Third Place, Engineering Design
  • Jessica Escobar, Andrew Ortiz, and Collin Williams – Third Place, Land Surveying

Advertising Design

  • Anna Salazar, Cassidy Doyle, and Sarah Chanyong – First Place, Team Bulletin Board Display
  • Autumn Heckard, Georgina Gonzalez, Cody McMillen, Colleen Hunt, Shannon Daubert, and Christian Gutierrez – Second Place, Chapter Display
  • David Reyes, Randy Gayton, Georgina Gonzalez, Emilio Macias, and Cherisse Johnson – First Place, Projects
  • Randy Gayton – Best in Show, Graphic Design and Illustration
  • Annette Hernandez – Top Prize, National Pin Design
